Artist: Unknown
On display
This magnificent ritual vessel used for holding food comprises two equal parts. The lid could stand beside the base, making a pair of offering dishes. The vessel appears to have been owned by two sons from the same family, as of the two six-character inscriptions incised on the interior, one reads: Da, son of the Ni family, owns this food container’ and the other: ‘Xin, son of the Ni family, owns this food container.
