On Saturday 7 September we are hosting a wedding and so access to the ground floor galleries may be restricted in the afternoon, access to Louise Bourgeois: Nature Study will not be affected. On Sunday 8 September all visitors, including members, are required to have a Compton Verney Dining Club ticket.

A marionette is a puppet controlled from above using wires or strings. These from the 1850s were from a private collection. They are in traditional costumes and illustrate an unusual mix of craft, drama and the grotesque, which Marx found captivating.
