Introduction to birdsong

Get closer to birdlife at Compton Verney and find out how to identify our resident and summer migrant birds including goldcrests, ravens and perhaps even a glimpse of our rarer visitors like the marsh tit!

Course leader Ed Drewitt, author and experienced naturalist, will show you how bird behaviour changes as we enter the summer months and how you can explore these uplifting animals at this time of year.

After an introductory talk on the different species, our expert will lead you on a walk as you put your identification skills into practice ‘in the field’.

This course is suitable for absolute beginners and those wishing to brush up on their skills.
