Leading contemporary artist Gayle Chong Kwan will explain the myths, legends, rituals, family and colonial histories that she drew on to create her work, The Taotie, which includes a rare opportunity to touch and handle objects from Compton Verney’s ancient Chinese bronze collection.

Along with Gayle, we invite you to take part in the ritual, performed in front of the work in the gallery.
