Do you want to learn how to capture and manipulate exquisite images of nature on your smartphone?

Why not join multi-disciplinary contemporary artist, Graham Fudger, on this smartphone photography nature-based discovery walk.

Free with a valid day ticket or membership. Booking is recommended to guarantee your place.
Recommended for ages 14+
No prior technical experience required, just make sure to bring along a fully-charged smartphone and wear weather appropriate clothing.

 

About the WORKSHOP

 

Embark on a journey of discovery, where the sights, scents, sounds and ecological diversity Compton Verney’s grounds provides a therapeutic setting to explore the aesthetic principles of photography.

The event will begin with an indoor session where Graham will discuss form, composition, subject content, the use of plant and bird identification tools and more.

You will then be invited to explore the grounds at their leisure, taking photos of the surroundings with the additional option to record time-lapsed cloudscapes (subject to the weather).

The event will conclude indoors with a wrap-up session, the opportunity to ask questions and share learning outcomes.

About the artist

Graham Fudger is a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist working in 3D and digital media. BA and MA trained at the University of Westminster, he spent fifteen years as a portrait photographer and picture editor in the magazine industry post-graduation and took the Man Booker longlist up on to Anthony Gormley’s Fourth Plinth in London. Published on the s[edition] platform and represented by Noon Powell in London, he recently conducted a year-long study of Colour in Contemporary Art funded by the Arts Council, completing it with a residency at Sir Isaac Newton’s family Home, courtesy of the National Trust
