Please note that we are closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Our opening hours are Wednesday – Sunday, 10am – 5pm and Bank Holiday Mondays, 10am – 5pm.

Due to the forecast high winds Storm Darragh is due to bring on Saturday 7 December, we have made the very difficult decision to close our site to all visitors and cancel The Gift Fair.

Our historic building and setting in 120 acres of park and woodland means we have to consider the impact of high winds on our trees and buildings, and as such operate a high winds policy which dictates the conditions under which we need to close. We also have a responsibility to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers and Gift Fair stallholders.

As the weather is due to improve on Sunday 8 December we anticipate being able to open and run The Gift Fair as planned. However, we will monitor this closely and if the forecast changes for Sunday or there is damage to our site we may have to close on Sunday also. This decision would be announced on our website, on social media and ticketholders would be contacted by email.

We will automatically issue a refund to everyone who has pre-booked admission or a ticket for The Gift Fair. Unfortunately we’re not able to move bookings in this instance, however if you would like to visit on Sunday then please do rebook and you will still be refunded for your Saturday booking. We will have processed all refunds by end of day Monday, depending on your bank refunds can take up to 10 working days to complete.

Thank you for your understanding.

A Glimpse into our Portraits Gallery

This image shows people stood in an art gallery with wooden floors and warm, dark grey walls. Portraits of important figures hang on the walls in ornate gold frames. A black bench sits in the centre of the room as light shines in from tall windows on the right.
