What
we do
Compton Verney is a charity connecting people with art, nature and creativity.
An extraordinary, eclectic and creative high-quality experience, Compton Verney is a place for the curious that inspires, delights, challenges and rejuvenates.
Our vision is to be the leading visual arts destination in the heart of the country, triggering positive change for artists, audiences and communities by encouraging play, inspiring debate and bringing people and ideas together.
An accredited museum and charity located in Warwickshire, England, our history dates back to the late Saxon period. In the early 2000s, our Grade I-listed Georgian manor house set in 120 acres of Grade II-listed Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown parkland was restored and renovated and is now an art gallery and park, operated by Compton Verney House Charity.
The galleries at Compton Verney host six permanent collections – Naples, Northern Europe, Portraits and Miniatures, Chinese Bronzes, Folk Art, and the Marx-Lambert Collection – and a schedule of thought-provoking changing exhibitions and events both outdoors and in.
